This is a quick tip, but I think you’ll be happy to have it in your back pocket! Last week I wanted a smoothie but realized I didn’t have any nuts (I usually make a quick cashew milk - just blending raw cashews with a little water, then once liquified adding more water, some vanilla, a pinch of sea salt, and sometimes cinnamon). And then I saw the half-finished jar of cashew butter and remembered this little trick!
Fill your blender with 2 cups filtered water, and add a spoonful of nut butter (any will work but I do love the cashew!) and blend on high for 20-30 seconds until creamy. No straining required!
And since we’re here - this is my favorite, no-fruit smoothie recipe (because I love to eat my fruit whole!!) that’s packed with the good stuff!
Blend:
1.5 cups cashew milk
1 TBS cocoa powder
1 scoop protein powder
1/2-3/4 cup frozen cauliflower rice
spoonful of peanut butter
Dash cinnamon
Add a pitted date if you want it sweet :)
. . . . so good, it’ll keep you full ‘till lunch time, and it has sneaky veggies inside!
